In Session This Week – Tam Lin Music and Bouncy Cassette

Two radically different projects this week, both great fun!

From my old home town of Bloomington, Indiana comes Bouncy Cassette, a damn fine project from the twisted mind of Brian Chauncey.  The track is “Rollerskate,” and it was a great chance to brush off my Disco/R&B chops, clean the rust off the Agogo bells, and (attempt to) skate!  Jake at Farm Fresh Studios did a nice mix of the tune, too.  Look for more funky jams from Chauncey and the Bouncy Cassette crew soon!

Rhythm Section Tracks with Matthew Wilson – Listen!

My long-time co-conspirator Matthew Wilson has created a couple of new loops for our Drum Tracks page. Matt and I toured the US and recorded together for several years with my former band Johnny Socko, recorded with Chris Coolidge and the Aurelians, and performed with Welsh singer/songwriter Julia Jones.
